This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a bronze shaft sleeve paired with a stainless steel shaft to isolate the circulating fluid from the shaft components. A dry shaft configuration is incorporated into the assembly, which includes a mechanical seal comprised of ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber. The unit maintains a pressure rating of 250 PSI and includes a wear ring for internal casing protection.
The motor is a 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC model operating at 1750 RPM, integrated with Aegis grounding and powered by a 380-460V 3PH supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
