This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller, and a stainless steel shaft. The assembly utilizes a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design rated for 125 PSI without a wear ring. Mechanical sealing is provided by a ceramic seat and EPT components. The center-line discharge construction facilitates positive air venting, while the integral mounting feet allow for secure installation. The pump design permits servicing without disturbing existing system piping.
This pump utilizes a 50 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V, 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
