This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A ceramic seat and EPT rubber mechanical seal are integrated into the design, which carries a 125 PSI pressure rating. The casing includes a replaceable bronze wear ring and is drilled for gauge ports at both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The assembly is powered by a 30 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
