This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with an integrally cast bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. It incorporates a dry shaft design with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve that prevents fluid contact with the shaft. The assembly operates at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI. Mechanical sealing comprises a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components to manage fluid containment within the housing.
The assembly utilizes a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor that runs at 1750 RPM and integrates Aegis grounding for electrical protection. Power input reaches 380-460V / 3PH, and the pump maintains a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
