This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing housing a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. Engineered with a dry shaft design, the unit limits internal contact with circulating fluid to assist in component longevity. Internal pressure tappings facilitate system monitoring at suction and discharge connections, while flush seal line taps allow for the integration of external filters. Sealing is managed by a mechanical seal assembly equipped with a tungsten carbide seat and EPT rubber, supporting operation at pressures up to 125 PSI. Wear rings are incorporated into the assembly to support performance maintenance.
The assembly integrates a 7.5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by a 380-460V / 3PH electrical supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
