This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 5" suction and a 4" discharge with ANSI Class 250 flanges. The pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 13-1/2" nominal diameter, and a bronze wear ring. It utilizes a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design to prevent fluid contact. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The casing includes pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and uses a 40 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure. It is configured for a 230-460/60/3 power supply with an across-the-line starting option. The motor is a NEMA 324 T-frame style, meets NEMA premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55, and features AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integral drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard, utilizing a Woods coupler. This unit has a DOE PEI value of 0.92 and is rated for a 40°C ambient temperature.
