This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 6" suction connection and a 5" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 13-1/2" nominal diameter, and an integrated bronze wear ring. It utilizes a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250°F. The unit includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 40 HP Baldor premium efficiency TEFC motor in a 324 T-Frame configuration. The electrical power requirement is 230-460/60/3PH. The motor includes AEGIS shaft grounding to manage electrical currents. This unit is mounted on a welded base that incorporates an integral drip pan. It utilizes a Woods flexible coupler protected by an OSHA-compliant coupler guard and features greasable bearings within the bearing frame. The pump meets NEMA standards and has a DOE PEI value of 0.93.
