This end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. It incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft, which is constructed of stainless steel and protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The assembly utilizes a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring. This construction includes integral cast mounting feet and center-line discharge for positive air venting, allowing for maintenance of the rotating assembly without disturbing the system piping.
This assembly is powered by a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and functions on 380-460V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI of 0.47. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
