This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate efficient fluid transfer. The assembly incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft, effectively mitigating corrosion. A mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber to prevent leakage, while the design handles pressures up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. This unit integrates flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections to allow for simple maintenance and system monitoring.
The motor is a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC unit operating at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding and powered by a 380-460V / 3PH supply, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
