This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with an integrally balanced bronze impeller. It integrates a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, employing a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid contact to sustain a 125 PSI operating capacity without a wear ring. A ceramic and EPT rubber mechanical seal maintains system integrity. Pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections allow for gauge installation, while the casing construction supports system maintenance without disturbing connected piping.
Powered by a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, the assembly operates at 3450 RPM and integrates Aegis grounding, receiving power via a 380-460V 3PH supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mechanical bypass, a 3rd contactor, drive fusing, a 5kA SCCR main disconnect and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
