This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design, which prevents the stainless steel shaft from contacting the circulating fluid, and incorporates a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components handles pressures up to 125 PSI. This unit incorporates integrally cast mounting feet and provides pressure tappings at both the suction and discharge connections for monitoring system conditions.
The system utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM. This motor incorporates Aegis grounding and functions with a 380-460V, 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
