This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing and cover with a 4" suction and 3" discharge. The pump utilizes an 11" nominal diameter stainless steel impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. It incorporates a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the pump shaft and the system fluid. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for a maximum temperature of 250 °F. The unit includes ANSI Class 125 flanges without a wear ring. This pump features pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections, flush seal line taps for filtration, and a rear pullout design for service access. The discharge is positioned at the top center line to simplify piping layouts.
The pump is powered by a 5 HP WEG motor with a TEFC enclosure and a 215 JM frame style with feet. It operates at 1150 RPM and requires a power supply of 230-460/60/3. The motor includes AEGIS shaft grounding and meets NEMA premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55. The starting configuration is across the line, and the unit is rated for a 40 °C ambient temperature with counter-clockwise rotation.
