This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft that prevents contact with the circulating fluid, which eliminates the need for corrosion-resistant shaft materials. A bronze shaft sleeve protects the assembly while providing easy seal maintenance. The mechanical seal assembly comprises a ceramic seat with EPT rubber components for sealing performance under 125 PSI operation without a wear ring. This pump integrates flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections for monitoring system conditions.
Powered by a 30 HP premium efficiency ODP motor, the assembly operates at 3450 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding. The motor receives 380-460V / 3PH power and maintains a DOE PEI of 0.48. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
