This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller, and a stainless steel shaft equipped with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The design incorporates a dry shaft construction that protects the shaft from contact with the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal utilizes ceramic and EPT components rated for 250°F and includes a flush seal line. The casing incorporates pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate gauge installation. This unit is rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring.
The assembly utilizes a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 200-230V / 3PH electrical input, yielding a DOE PEI rating of 0.49. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
