This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with an integrally cast mounting foot and center-line discharge. The assembly utilizes a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, which prevents contact with the circulating fluid through a dry shaft design. A mechanical seal with an EPT rubber component and a ceramic seat is integrated into the system, which sustains operating pressures up to 125 PSI. This pump structure allows for maintenance of the seal and internal components without disturbing system piping.
The motor provides 7.5 HP with a premium efficiency rating and a TEFC enclosure, operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by a 380-460V 3PH supply, with a DOE PEI of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
