This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The unit integrates a dry shaft design, which prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, while a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve adds protection. A mechanical seal with tungsten carbide seat halves and buna rubber elements maintains containment at pressures up to 125 PSI. Gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections allow for system monitoring.
The 15 HP premium efficiency ODP motor operates at 1750 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, yielding a DOE PEI of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a mechanical disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
