This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid movement. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal consisting of ceramic and EPT materials manages internal pressure, supporting an operational rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring. Integral drain ports and gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections are provided for maintenance access and system monitoring.
Power is supplied by a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor that operates at 3450 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and accepts 200-230V / 3PH power input. The pump assembly maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
