This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a hydraulically balanced bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft covered with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft design to isolate the shaft from circulating fluids. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal serves as the sealing interface at a 125 PSI rating. This configuration allows for service and maintenance without disrupting system piping, while the suction and discharge connections include gauge ports for pressure monitoring.
The assembly utilizes a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, power input of 200-230V / 3PH, and a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
