This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 3" suction and a 2-1/2" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump includes a cast iron casing and a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller. It utilizes a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve to isolate the shaft from the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The casing includes pressure tappings for suction and discharge monitoring.
The unit operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 5 HP Baldor motor in a 184T NEMA frame. The motor is a TEFC, premium efficiency model meeting MG1-12.55 standards and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. Power requirements are 230-460V/60Hz/3PH with across the line starting. The assembly is mounted on a welded structural steel base that includes an integrated drip pan and a Woods coupler protected by a coupler guard. This configuration maintains a DOE PEI value of 0.94 and is rated for a 40°C ambient operating environment.
