This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller, and a bronze shaft sleeve. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that isolates the pump shaft from the circulating fluid, limiting exposure to system media. A mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber to manage fluid containment. Pressure tappings are integrated into both the suction and discharge connections for monitoring system performance. The pump operates at a pressure limit of 125 PSI.
The assembly is powered by a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, utilizing a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
