This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge for air venting. The internal components consist of a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft, further protected by a bronze shaft sleeve as part of the dry shaft design. This arrangement prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. A ceramic seat and EPT rubber mechanical seal are integrated into the assembly. The unit is rated for 125 PSI operation without a wear ring and provides suction and discharge pressure tappings as standard.
The 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and is configured for 380-460V 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mechanical bypass and main disconnect and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
