This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The pump utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft, while the mechanical seal assembly consists of a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. This assembly handles a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring.
The assembly incorporates a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by a 200-230V 3PH electrical supply, and the DOE PEI rating is 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
