This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features an 8" suction and a 6" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with an 11" nominal diameter, and a stainless steel shaft equipped with a bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A mechanical seal is installed, consisting of a ceramic seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for a maximum temperature of 250°F. The casing includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections and supports a flush seal line.
The pump operates at 1150 RPM and is powered by a 20 HP Baldor premium efficiency ODP motor. The motor is a NEMA frame 286 T-frame configured for a 230-460/60/3 power supply. The unit utilizes an across-the-line starting method and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is mounted on a welded base that incorporates a drip pan and is connected to the motor by a Woods coupler covered by an OSHA-compliant guard.
