This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 5" suction and a 4" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 13-1/2" nominal diameter, and a stainless steel shaft equipped with a bronze shaft sleeve. The unit utilizes a dry shaft design and includes a mechanical seal consisting of a silicon-carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for 250°F. The pump is designed for clean water applications and does not include a wear ring. The bearing housing contains sealed-for-life ball bearings and includes flush seal line taps to facilitate maintenance.
The system is powered by a 40 HP Baldor motor in a 324 T frame with an ODP enclosure, operating at 1750 RPM on a 230-460/60/3 PH power supply. It is configured with across the line starting and a Woods coupler. The pump is mounted on a welded structural steel base that includes an integral drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. The motor meets NEMA MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is rated for a 40°C ambient temperature, features a DOE PEI value of 0.92, and is set for CCW rotation.
