This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 3" suction and 2-1/2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump construction includes a cast iron casing, a 10" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a stainless steel shaft with a bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250 °F. The design incorporates a dry shaft to prevent contact with the circulating fluid and includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections.
The pump operates at 1150 RPM and is driven by a 2 HP Baldor motor with a TEFC enclosure. The motor is configured for a 230-460/60/3 power supply, meets NEMA Premium Efficiency standards per MG1-12.55, and includes an AEGIS shaft grounding ring. This unit uses a 184 T frame and mounts on a welded structural steel base equipped with an integral drip pan. A Woods coupler connects the pump to the motor, protected by an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. The system supports across-the-line starting and operates at a 40 °C ambient temperature.
