This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate liquid transfer in diverse hydraulic applications. The assembly integrates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft, removing the need for corrosion-resistant shaft materials. Maintenance of the mechanical seal is facilitated by an easily replaceable, slip-on bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal utilizes ceramic and EPT components, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring. Pressure tappings are positioned on the suction and discharge connections to allow for monitoring.
The pump utilizes a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, which incorporates Aegis grounding and a 208V, 3PH power supply. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
