This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transfer. The construction integrates a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, which is protected by a bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal is utilized, consisting of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components. The pump operates at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI and utilizes a wear ring to maintain hydraulic efficiency within the casing. Pressure tappings are provided on both suction and discharge connections to allow for system monitoring.
The assembly utilizes a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, incorporating Aegis grounding and powered by a 380-460V / 3PH supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
