This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing with 3" suction and 2-1/2" discharge ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit utilizes an 11" nominal diameter bronze impeller, a stainless steel shaft, and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. It incorporates a dry shaft design to prevent circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of a silicon-carbide seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, providing an operating temperature rating of 250°F. The casing includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring.
The pump is powered by a 7-1/2 HP Baldor premium efficiency motor with an ODP enclosure and AEGIS shaft grounding. This 1750 RPM motor operates on a 230-460/60/3 PH power supply and utilizes a 213T NEMA frame. The assembly is mounted on a welded structural steel base that includes an integral drip pan. A Woods coupler connects the pump to the motor, secured by an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. This configuration supports across-the-line starting and achieves a PEI value of 0.87.
