This base-mounted end suction pump integrates a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber to support operation up to 125 PSI. A replaceable bronze wear ring allows for maintenance while the unit remains installed within the system piping.
Powering the assembly is a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and consumes 380-460V 3PH power, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
