This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, facilitating maintenance while protecting the shaft from contact with the circulating fluid through a dry shaft design. The mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and an EPT elastomer, operating at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring. Featuring center-line discharge for air venting, the pump incorporates gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections to monitor hydraulic performance.
The 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding for protection against electrical discharge, utilizing a 380-460V 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
