This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft construction with a stainless steel shaft and a replaceable stainless steel shaft sleeve to isolate circulating fluid from the rotating components. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber component maintains fluid integrity. Rated for 125 PSI, the casing incorporates a bronze wear ring and pressure tappings at the suction and discharge connections for monitoring.
The 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
