This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that isolates the stainless steel shaft sleeve from the circulating fluid, reducing the requirement for corrosion-resistant shaft materials. A ceramic seat and EPT rubber mechanical seal manage fluid containment at pressures reaching 125 PSI. Pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections are integrated into the casing, which also supports the installation of an optional filter via flush seal line taps to protect the seal from particulates.
Powered by a 5 HP premium efficiency ODP motor operating at 3450 RPM, the assembly incorporates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V 3PH power supply. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
