This close-coupled end suction pump integrates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft, while sealing is managed by a mechanical seal utilizing a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This assembly includes flush seal line taps to accommodate a filter for protection against non-condensable particles. Pressure tappings are provided on both the suction and discharge connections to monitor system performance.
The assembly utilizes a 50 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 200-230V 3PH input, yielding a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
