This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft configuration that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft, while a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components manages fluid containment. This unit is engineered for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI. Gauge ports are provided at both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring. The construction includes a bearing housing with permanently lubricated sealed-for-life ball bearings, and the pump is capable of servicing without disturbing the system piping.
The 150 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM and integrates Aegis grounding, powered by a 380-460V / 3PH supply. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
