This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. It incorporates a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, rated for 125 PSI without a wear ring. The assembly utilizes a mechanical seal constructed with a silicon-carbide seat and EPT rubber. Gauge ports exist at both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
Powered by a 3 HP premium efficiency motor, the assembly utilizes a TEFC enclosure, operates at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and accepts 200-230V / 3PH power, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
