This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The pump utilizes a dry shaft design that keeps the stainless steel shaft isolated from the circulating fluid, while a bronze shaft sleeve provides protection for the shaft surface. A mechanical seal assembly comprising a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components limits leakage within the unit. The assembly operates at a maximum pressure rating of 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring.
Powered by a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly integrates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V / 3PH power supply with a DOE: PEI = 0.47 rating. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
