This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3. The assembly integrates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid contact, employing a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate maintenance. A ceramic seat and EPT rubber mechanical seal configuration maintains system integrity, providing operation at pressures up to 125 PSI. Designed for hydraulic performance, the volute incorporates a center-line discharge for air venting and provides tapped gauge ports at both the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring.
The pump operates with a 75 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, integrating Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
