This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the shaft and circulating fluid. The assembly utilizes a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Mechanical sealing consists of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, allowing operation at pressures up to 125 PSI. This construction permits servicing without disturbing the system piping.
The assembly integrates a 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
