This close-coupled end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design, which prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components facilitates operation at pressures up to 125 PSI. Pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections are provided, and the pump incorporates flush seal line taps to allow for filter installation.
The pump assembly utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by a 200-230V / 3PH supply. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
