This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. It utilizes a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, rated at 125 PSI. The mechanical seal assembly comprises a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. Integral flush seal line taps allow for the installation of a filter for protection against non-condensable particles. The construction includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections to monitor system performance during operation.
The assembly utilizes a 7.5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis Grounding and a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, yielding a DOE: PEI = 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
