This Taco CI Series close coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing with ANSI Class 125 flanges and a bronze wear ring. The hydraulic assembly includes a 5" suction port, a 4" discharge port, and a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller. It utilizes a dry shaft design with a replaceable slip-on bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250 °F. The pump is constructed with flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections. The rear pullout design allows for servicing without disturbing system piping, and the top center line discharge facilitates simplified piping layouts.
This unit is powered by a 20 HP, 1750 RPM Baldor TEFC motor in a 256 JM frame with feet. The motor is configured for 230-460/60/3PH power and operates at a 40 °C ambient temperature. It meets NEMA standard requirements and premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55, including AEGIS shaft grounding. The pump operates with a counter-clockwise rotation and is configured for across the line starting. The unit has a DOE PEI of 0.92.
