This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For pressure regulation and leakage control, the mechanical seal comprises a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, supporting operations up to 125 PSI. This pump utilizes a center-line discharge for positive air venting and provides connections for gauge ports at both the suction and discharge points.
Powered by a 50 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, the assembly operates at 1750 RPM and utilizes Aegis grounding. The electrical configuration accepts 380-460V / 3PH power input, and the unit holds a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
