This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a stainless steel shaft paired with a bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. Internal sealing components include a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber, supporting operation at 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring. This unit utilizes a center-line discharge for air venting and allows service of the rotating assembly without disturbing system piping.
The pump utilizes a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by a 380-460V 3PH supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
