This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid movement. The internal architecture integrates a bronze shaft sleeve with a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A silicon-carbide mechanical seal with EPT rubber components provides fluid containment, supporting an operating pressure of 125 PSI. Pressure tappings located on the suction and discharge connections are provided, while an easy-to-replace, slip-on shaft sleeve enables simplified field maintenance.
The assembly is powered by a 60 HP premium efficiency ODP motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, configured for a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
