This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with an integrated wear ring and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design, which prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft. Protection for the shaft is provided by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal assembly comprises an EPT rubber component and a ceramic seat half, operating within a pressure limit of 125 PSI. Gauge ports are integrated at the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The assembly utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electricity. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
