This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to manage fluid transfer. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft, protected by a bronze shaft sleeve. Sealing is managed by a mechanical seal assembly containing a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components. Pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections are integrated into the casing, which supports operating pressures up to 125 PSI without a wear ring.
This unit utilizes a 7.5 HP premium efficiency ODP motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding on a 208V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.43. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mech bypass with main disconnect, 5kA SCCR, and drive fusing, and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
