This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The unit integrates a dry shaft design to protect the stainless steel shaft from circulating fluids and utilizes a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal composed of ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber supports operations up to 125 PSI. The pump assembly allows for maintenance and servicing without disturbing existing system piping.
The motor provides 7.5 HP with Premium Efficiency, an ODP enclosure, and an operating speed of 1750 RPM, utilizing Aegis grounding on a 200-230V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a mechanical disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
