This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a stainless steel shaft paired with a bronze shaft sleeve, while the dry shaft construction prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. A ceramic seat and EPT rubber mechanical seal manage fluid containment, supporting operation up to 125 PSI in configurations without a wear ring. The casing integrates gauge ports for suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The assembly utilizes a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding for 200-230V 3PH power supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
