This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing with 2-1/2" suction and 1-1/2" discharge connections utilizing ANSI Class 250 flanges. The unit includes a 7-1/4" nominal impeller diameter constructed of NSF61-compliant stainless steel, paired with a stainless steel shaft and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The internal design incorporates a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, capable of operating at temperatures up to 250°F. The dry shaft construction prevents fluid contact with the shaft, while the bearing frame utilizes sealed-for-life ball bearings.
The pump operates at 3450 RPM and is driven by a 15 HP WEG TEFC motor in a NEMA 254 T-frame enclosure. This motor is configured for 230-460/60/3 power with across the line starting and meets MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards. It includes AEGIS shaft grounding to protect against electrical discharge. The assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integrated drip pan and utilizes a Woods coupler for the motor connection. The pump maintains a PEI value of 0.88.
