This base-mounted end suction pump integrates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve over a stainless steel shaft. The dry shaft design maintains mechanical integrity by preventing fluid contact with the internal shaft assembly. It utilizes a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal rated for 125 PSI operation. Pressure tappings exist at both suction and discharge connections for monitoring system performance, while the center-line discharge casing construction facilitates air venting. The assembly houses sealed-for-life ball bearings.
The pump utilizes a 7.5 HP Premium Efficiency PMAC motor with a TEFC enclosure, operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding on a 380-460V 3PH power supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
